Salutogenic Sense of Coherence

The Salutogenic Sense of Coherence (SOC) is a fundamental approach to understanding how individuals maintain and improve their health and well-being in the face of life's challenges. This concept, developed by Aaron Antonovsky, is comprised of three key components: comprehensibility (understanding what happens in life), manageability (having the resources to cope), and meaningfulness (finding purpose in life's challenges). By developing these three aspects, individuals can build a stronger resilience and adaptive coping capacity, which in turn leads to better health outcomes and improved life satisfaction.

Comprehensibility Skills
