Dr. Logan believes that parents can provide a nurturing and stable home for children who have experienced trauma when they have the right support and access to essential resources and are willing to be intentional with their efforts to improve. Dr. Logan has a long track record of bringing trauma-informed and salutogenic coaching to parents, helping them to develop the skills and confidence they need to create a positive and healing environment for their families.
Dr. Logan offers trauma-informed and resiliency-building coaching to support parents struggling with raising their children, particularly foster and adoptive parents or other adults tasked with caring for children with traumatic stress. He will introduce parents to principles and processes that lead to creating safe and healthy environments for children who have experienced early childhood adversities. His approach is salutogenic, meaning he does not focus on labeling the problem; rather, his attention will be on increasing everyone’s strengths, assets, capacities, and competencies. He will demonstrate how to implement stress-management skills to build secure, trusting, and transparent connections.
Dr. Logan is a Certified Trauma and Resiliency Life Coach and Certified Trauma Professional for Families.
This video interview was a Facebook Live event featuring Dr. Logan discussing with Candice Raine, CEO of the Arizona Trauma Institute, the book I Was Loved, and the challenges of parenting and raising children to become resilient adults.
